Article 2 – Membership - Accession

Only natural persons can be admitted as members. To become a member of the association by accession, one must (i) be accepted by the Board of Directors with the consent of a simple majority; the board of directors is not obliged to state the reasons for accepting or not accepting a candidate;  (ii) accept the statutes and regulations of the Institute; these can be found on the Institute's website. The members commit themselves towards the association as well as towards each other to comply with the articles of association and all regulations applicable to them, which have been or will be adopted by the association.

 

Article 3 – Membership – Dismissal and retirement 

A member may resign at any time by submitting his/her resignation in writing to the Board of Directors of the Institute. Members who fail to pay the membership fee after the reminder procedure has been followed, are automatically considered to have resigned

The exclusion of a member takes place in the manner provided for in the Companies and Associations Code.

 

Article 4 – Membership – Fee

An annual contribution is requested from the members, which is determined each year by the general meeting. The annual maximum contribution is 500 €. Membership fees are paid on-line through www.ifabelgium.be and are non-refundable.

Newly registered members can cancel their on-line application within 14 days per email through This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. First-time membership fee payments will be subsequently refunded after a timely cancellation.

 

Artikel 5 - Force majeure

In case of force majeure we are not obliged to fulfil our obligations. In that case we can either suspend our obligations for the duration of the force majeure or definitively dissolve the agreement. Force majeure is any circumstance beyond our will and control that prevents performance in whole or in part. This includes strikes, fire, business interruptions, power failures, failures in the network or connection of used communication systems and/or the unavailability of our website at any time, non-delivery or late delivery of suppliers or engaged third parties, ...
